How about you DO IT YOURSELF: Fringed crop tops

Isn't this shirt just cute? Don't you just wanna go pick up your car keys and take a trip to AAAAALL the way over to the mall & spend more than you wanna on this crafty cotton crop? OF COURSE YOU DON'T, so I'm going to show you how to make one! (its so basic, I shouldnt even be wasting a blog post on it, but ehh I'll do it LOL).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
-A shirt you dont mind cutting up
-GOOD scissors
-creativity
-patience
-imagination
-aaaand beads are optional ;)

STIZZEPS
1) lay your shirt on a flat surface & decide how high you want the fringe to come up
2) cut strips in whatever thickness you'd like around the bottom of your shirt(about 1/2 inch would be ideal, but do what floats your boat) up to your designated stopping spot
3) TWIRL AND STRETCH the strips and if you'd like, string the beads as high as you'd like and then tie the ends
4) ENJOY

Fashion Icon: Kreayshawn

If you haven't already guessed who this post is going to be about, I'll give you a hint: she's kreay-krey kute! Gave up? All right I'll tell you....its KREAYSHAWN!

Yes, this post is dedicated to none other than that kreay-zy girl that told us that gucci, louis, fendi, and prada were for basic chicks and she don't even bothaaa! (thank God for my amazing improvised censoring skills lol). I REALLY wanna tell you how inexpensive her look is & how adorbs she is :)

NOW LET'S GET IT CRACKIN UP IN THIS PIECE. (too much rap?)

okay, let's break down her gawwww-gous makeup (and face)
-Kreayshawn(which btw is a unique way of spelling 'creation', see how crafty she is?) goes nowhere without her signature cat-eye! I would personally suggest that you use a liquid or gel liner, but a fine brush dipped in water and black eyeshadow will do the trick! She has been quoted as saying that she's used Wet N' Wild eyeliner since the beginning of time! -NO EYESHADOW. Point blank kiddos.
-She seems to wear a good full coverage foundation. I'm personally a fan of MAC, Bobbi Brown and Maybelline FIT ME, but we're just going to focus on the FIT ME product because its the perfect drug store alternative.
-Her lips are always cute, but if you're going for a "Gucci, Gucci" look (if you've been under a rock & not seen it, here it goes lol http://www.mtv.com/videos/kreayshawn/668829/gucci-gucci.jhtml ) a nude lip or just some chapstick is ideal because her lips definitely are just matte, no shine. But for this picture, a red lipstick would be your best choice. MAC's Ruby Woo is the best red I've ever used, its about $14 (correct me if i'm wrong) & last FOREVER! I've had it since December and haven't run out yet! It's definitely a good investment, but it shouldnt be a priority! If you have a red you like, just use it baby squirrel!

now let's briefly talk about her threads!
-Kreay is definitely about self expression and wearing whatever you think is cute, so just doowutchalike (digital underground reference)!!
-I've seen her wearing button ups, graphic tees, denim vests, skinny jeans, shorty shorts, crop tops, leggins, everything under the sun! But one thing about kreay is that she doesn't sacrifice comfort for fashion, she is always wearing sneakers because heels KILL HER FEET.

DEM JOOLZ!
-oh my baby back ribs, she has the coolest jewelry EVER! It ranges from bamboo earrings (check out my previous fresh prince post, it talks about it), multi finger rings, name plate necklaces, charm bracelets & whatever the heck her itty bitty heart desires.

Yes & let me briefly touch on her hair!
-its two toned, and flipped. Now isnt that how you spell $waggggg???

Fashion Icon: Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin West Philadelphia born and raised.... (I triple dog dare you to finish it!)
So if you haven't already guessed, this blog post is dedicated to the funky fresh fashions that were made popular by Little Willie From Philly  on his hit TV show, the fresh prince of bel-air! Since this blog is so new, I think I might have to make this statement solid and in all caps, lol! So here it goes : I AM TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH 90'S NOSTALGIA & NERDY BLIPSTERS. This is due to the fact that 1) I am a product of the 90s and 2) I love what I am, lol ;-) This will be 100% evident in my future posts.

So let's dissect this look one piece at a time :-)

FIRST OFF- The hats!

Oh sweet baby Jesus!! Will always had the stupid hats! They were crazy!!

They were only like $35 (which isn't my first choice, but y'know I MUST have this hat, LOL) but we can't get em >:-(. NEXT- JEWELRYYY!!

Ahhhh, I LOVE bamboo earrings, I buy all of mine from Icing by Claire's & they're only $10!! But every time I've been in there, they were 50% off!!!!!

NEXT- THOSE CLOTHES!!

Will wore some crazy day-glo clothing, not like De La Soul status, but y'know funky fresh!

for this, I'd probably wear a phat denim jacket(since its summer, a denim vest would be more practical) and and a t-shirt with the craziest design you can find!

You can find these bad boys at Macy's, Pac Sun, Old Navy, Gap, OR you could just be the crafty individual you are and cut the sleeves off of a denim jacket (one that you dont mind cutting of course).

A tee shirt like this is awesome!! I have one with a blonde girl on it that I got from Zumiez for $20. This shirt is perfect because it's neon, the little girl is fresh to death & its like a throwback to Yo! MTV Raps!! FOR BOTTOMS- Something slim

So for this, we're gonna want a very slim look on the bottom! The best choice would be a pair of yoga leggings (just go to PINK, they're only $34, lol) or some skinny jeans (I SUGGEST TARGET!).

On the fresh prince, Will always had the freshest jordans, but since we are super cheap (or just money conscious, which is 100% okay!) that's not an options!! So how about some Vans? How about you do it yourself: Lace Shorts

Hai guys!
So over the weekend I went to this mall in Myrtle Beach & saw the CUTEST SHORTS EVER in American Eagle. They were these denim shortie shorts with lace on the side! Sadly, they were a bit more than I was willing to pay at the moment (about $36.95, correct me if I have the price wrong). So I came up with the BEST IDEA EVER: MAKE MY OWN SHORTS. Now I'd like to share with you all on how to make your own :)
 BTW THIS IS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE:

This is what you will need !
-Some denim shorts (or if you're extra cheap like me, just cut some old jeans!)
-lace (get it from any craft store, I really reccomend that you get it in a triangular shape!)
-fabric glue, OR hot glue (but I highly reccomend fabric glue)if you suck at sewing like I do, or you can sew it (if you got dem skillz!)
-scissors to clean up any messups
-OPTIONAL pins, just in case you wanna pin it to make sure its positioned correctly
-and of course, IMAGINATION

Let's get started!
-so first you're going to take your shorts/the jeans you cut (check out youtube if you need extra help) and lay them so the left and right side (where the seam is) ARE FLAT.
-then you're gonna cut a nice V-Shape in the side (dont go TOO deep, we don't want our entire thigh out now do we?)
-on that v-shape you just cut, you're gonna take your fabric glue, put it around the edges of the LACE and then press tightly onto the shorts so they can have bonding time ;-).
-then you can clean up whatever cray-cray edges you may have
-FINALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP, go flaunt your gorgeous new shorts :-)

BY THE WAY, you CAN wash these shorts because fabric glue is permanent. This is why it's better that hot glue. While it is permanent, it might not be as sturdy or it might start bleeding through the fabric if its a bit thin...YIKES.
