Pimp my calculator!

Hai my fabulously frugal fashionistas! I'm sorry that I've been MIA for like ever! I'm going to try my best to keep up with the blog because I just joined the cast of my high school's production of LEGALLY MUSICAL (thats legally blonde if ya didnt know!). I will be playing Brooke Wyndham ;) so I wont have a lot of time. but here's a quick tutorial I thought you all might like.

OK so as you all may or may not know, I'm currently taking ap calculus -__________-. And when you take AP Calculus you are required to have an over-priced Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator (TI 83 Plus REPRESENT, it was cheaper than the TI 84, ayeee). And as boring as AP Calc may be, I found a way to make life easier :) BEDAZZLE YOUR CALCULATOR COVER

OK so this is what you're going to need.
Bucket O' Bling (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Kids-Crafts-Bucket-of-Bling-Assorted-Acrylic-Jewels/17753258) this is what I'm referring to..
A hot glue gun
Your graphing calculator (or a standard scientific calculator)
IMAGINATION.

Okay, so here's a picture of what I sort of mean..
but completely covered :D
Dizerections!
-Take the cover of your calculator and sit it on a shopping bag/towel to protect your work area
-while your glue gun is heating up, lay out your gems in the pattern you want and take a picture of it using your camera phone.
-glue the gems on & clean up your calculator for excess hot glue :)
-ENJOY.

Get The Look: Geek Chic

Salutations my dorky divas ;-) today's blog post is sponsered by the letter G, as in Geek Chic!

Okay, okay, I bet you're wondering "why the shnuff is this girl telling me how to be a geek?" Well, since I am nerdy & I do love fashion, I am an expert & I'm showing you how to be a cute nerd :-P

1) Wear your hair however you'd like to. IDC if you have braids, an afro, a gumby fade, it don't maaaake any difference to meeeee! (shoutout to Kevin Michael & Wyclef)
2)Buddy Holly glasses! Or your regular glasses if you wear them ;-). My prescription glasses are Buddy Holly so its a double brownie points situation! BTW you can get fake ones from Claires, Icing, Hot Topic, or your local mall's sunglass kiosk.
3)COSBY SWEATERS!!! Oversized sweater that look like the 80's puked on it are PERFECT! The original Cosby sweaters are Coogi, but that doesnt mean yours has to be! Thrift shop, or if you're as awesome as I am, buy a men's sweater!
4) Video Game inspired tees, or tees with dorky references are TOO TRILL.
5) Leggings & Skinny Jeans - They look amazeballs with those oversized sweaters & tees.
6) Converse, Vans & Moccasins oh my! - High top chucks with leggings & skinnies <3 Vans and skinnies <3 & when it comes to my shoe game, I'm a total hippie, so anything like moccasins is my favorite thing in the world! They feel like slippers & make me look like I buy rice pudding in bulk (which I do).
7) add whatever makeup, accessories, etc, just DOOWUTCHALIKE!

Here's a song from the hottest nerd ever, Pharrell Williams :-) he's from Virginia just like me & he's weird <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2474_-t7aLs&feature=related

I'd love to talk more, but I gotta go now!,

How about you do it yourself?: Galaxy Pants

Hey guys! Ya see these GAWGEOUS jeans? Well, during my trip to Atlanta (to visit the fam), I went to Urban Outfitters with my aunt (for inspiration OF COURSE) & saw a pair for about $65! Since I'm extremely cheap, I was like "psssh, I can make these for $20!". Now I'm gonna tell you all how to do this lovely look!

This is what you're gonna need!
-BLACK jeans (or a REALLY dark wash, but I'm talking uber dark)
-Bleach and a Spray Bottle (buy one at Sallys for NOTHING, or just use that leftover body splash bottle you have sitting under the sink).
-Blue, Purple, White and whatever other colors you might like of fabric or acrylic paint. Both will work
-a sponge
-water
-something to lay the jeans on while you're working
-a teeny tiny brush, a tooth brush, or a brush with bristles.

OKAY, now this is what you're gonna do:
1) Mix bleach and water, and spray it on random spots on the jeans, but try to spread them out. The bleach should turn a rusty orange color (it doesnt take a lot of time to show up, spray some more if you want it deeper)
2) Around the bleach spots, take your sponge and spot the purple and blue acrylic paints around them in like cresent shapes (does that make sense? if not, *in my best Snooki voice* IM SORRY)
3) dip your brush of choice in that white paint and make little spots as stars. (you could run your finger over the bristled brush to "flick" the color on the jeans, or if you're more patient than I am, make the dots with a tapered brush)
4) LET THIS SIDE DRY, then do it on the backside.

BONUS STUFF: if you'd like to, add chains, studs, slits, cuffs, whatever you're heart desires!

& here's a special song for my dorky divas :)

MUCH LOVE, You're beautiful, cats go meow, whatever else you'd like me to say,
